Example Report

Igenity Canine Wellness reports provide you with insight to the heritable component of complex health conditions. Keep in mind that we don’t know all of the genetic factors that influence disease and other things can influence disease risk such as lifestyle, diet and nutrition. In addition to the result, we’ve provided you with some key insights about the test as well as follow-up care both in the clinic and at home for patients at increased risk.

Igenity predicts risk for such conditions as:

  • Bleeding disorders which impact post-surgical care and recovery from traumatic injury
  • Exercise-induced collapse, where dogs collapse during intense exercise or excitement
  • Hyperuricosuria, a propensity for the build-up of urate crystals and stones in the urinary system
  • Mammary carcinoma
  • Pancreatitis
  • Risk for a genetic propensity to lens luxation, a painful eye condition
  • Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD)

Igenity Canine Wellness reports summarize the impact of test results both on patient care in the hospital and at home with the client. The reports also offer technical links, preventative steps to consider and citations to scientific literature.
